Super Bowl 2010 also happens to be the birthday of my lovely friend Lydia. In honor of her birthday..and not letting the super bowl completely steal her birthday thunder..I think we will have to say CHEERS with some yummy birthday cake shots!

Shrimp-Jalapeno "Poppers"
Ritz crackers topped with cheese, bacon wrapped shrimp, sour cream and jalapeno peppers. Sounds pretty irresistible to me!

Everyone who knows me, even just a little bit, knows that I L.O.V.E. holidays. I like to find any reason to celebrate I can..I mean, I used to have half-birthday parties when I was younger! Valentine's Day is no exception. Pink is my favorite color. I could eat candy for every meal. I love making fun cards and crafts. I love snuggling up with my honey.



You can only imagine my excitement when I saw these lacy votive holders. The lace is held in place by a balloon and then saturated with fabric stiffener. Once it dries, you pop the balloon. Ta-da! Lacy votive!

Crab Cakes Benedict

Crab cakes eggs benedict is the best idea ever! Who can't resist a crab cake replacing the standard english muffin, topped with a poached egg and caribbean hollandiase sauce made with key lime juice? Sounds like heaven on the islands!

Fiery Grilled Wings

We tried the Fiery Grilled Wings at KFC last night and they were DELICIOUS!!! The best part is that they really aren't that bad for you either, in terms of KFC food. They had enough of the "grill" taste to get past the fact that they weren't crispy and such a good mix of spices that I didn't miss the sauce at all. In fact, it was actually much less messy and equally delicious. Yum-o!

I'm so ready for Spring!

I miss planting flowers and playing in the dirt. I found this Terra Cotta pot that has already been aged and has a mossy finish that makes it look like you've owned the pot for ages that will be perfect for pretty spring flowers.

Baby It's Cold Outside!!!

Brrr...with a high temp today of 26 degrees and up to 6" of snow expected, it's one of those days where I just wanted to stay in a warm bed and lounge all day. This fur bedding looks so warm and cozy!!
